Dr. Sean M. Hensley

Optometrist

Hutto Vision Care has been a lifelong dream of Dr. Sean M. Hensley. Born and raised in Texas, he spent his childhood years locally at Pflugerville Middle School and Pflugerville High School.  He graduated as an academic athlete and went on to study Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University.  While at college, he met and married his beautiful wife, Melissa J. Hensley, DVM, who is now the primary veterinary surgeon at Koy Animal Clinic in Georgetown, Tx. After his undergraduate degree was complete, he was accepted into several optometry schools, but decided on the prestigious University of Houston College of Optometry. While at his four years of optometry school, he also completed an externship at Northeastern University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. During his stay in Oklahoma, he performed numerous laser surgical procedures as well as minor lid surgeries. While surgery by an optometrist is not currently allowed by state law in Texas, his unique surgical experience allows him to properly recommend when surgery is necessary and which eye surgeon, or ophthalmologist, to refer to.  Dr. Hensley, or Sean as he likes to be called in office, would love to see you for an annual eye exam, medical eye exam, lasik/cataract surgical consultation, or eye emergency.
